How do I create specific types of training sessions?

Want to log a type of session we haven't listed? This is how ...

How to Set Your Sport and Custom Session Types

  1. Open Settings

    • Tap your profile icon in the top right corner.

    • Select Athlete Preferences.

  2. Choose Your Main Sport

    • Pick the sport you train for most.

    • If you’re training generally, choose General Fitness.

    • Don’t see your sport? Let us know — we’ll keep expanding the list.

    • This option can be changed at any time.

  3. Use Preloaded Sessions

    • You’ll find a list of preloaded session types, each with load modifiers based on our research in different sports.

    • Most of your training will fit into these categories.

  4. Add a Custom Session Type (More Specific)

    • Go to Custom Session TypesAdd Custom Type.

    • Name your session (e.g., Hills Session).

    • Scroll through and pick the closest existing type (e.g., Resistance Training).

    • Click Add Custom Type.

    • It will now appear in your list when logging sessions, with the correct load modifier attached.

  5. Create a Fully Custom Session (No Modifier)

    • Can’t find anything similar? Click Custom Session.

    • Name your session and add it to your drop-down list.

    • Note: fully custom sessions don’t include a load modifier (unknown stress), so where possible, match your training to an existing type for more accurate data.
